LPG & CNG

LPG

LPG is clean gas that turns into liquid when subjected to pressure or cooling, which explains how it can be stored in a fuel tank. When a petrol car is converted to LPG, it essentially gains a secondary fuel system, which consists of an LPG fuel tank. Usually it is placed in the boot. By alteration of intake manifold, air flow mixture ensures the air coming to the engine evenly distributed with LPG to all its cylinders and a new ECU (the car’s on bound computer) thus turning it into a dual-fuelled car that can run on either fuel.

Usually, the driver will be able to control when the vehicle switches to and from LPG but in most cases, once the LPG tank is empty, the system will automatically switch back to petrol power.

The LPG become very popular now-a-day  as economical as CNG and its performance is as good as octane performance.

Advantages:

1. Due to LPG’s high calorific value than octane, once vehicle has converted into LPG and vehicle has almost equal mileage and better performance.
2. The weight of the cylinder is less than 40 kg , so the suspension is better with less load on the car.
3. LPG is stored at a pressure of only 1.7-7.5 bar whereas CNG stored at 200-250 bar thus reducing the risk of explosion.
4. With 60 litre LPG cylinder car can travel almost 400km, on the other hand with CNG car can travel at best 25% with one refill.. So, CNG need to require repeated refilling for travelling the same distance.
5. We have been successfully converting LPG with a genuine Italian kits for many years.
